I cry with the rain
My face pressed up against the window pane,
Its tears forcefully thrown from the sky like a thousand mini spears
In contrast mine are reluctant to show
And then meander down my cheeks as if lost, nowhere to go
Then reaching the end like lemmings on a cliff top they fall
One followed by another, an end to it all.
The rain outside will stop for sure but forever more my heart will ache
And cracks appear to take their toll
As sorrow floods this impatient soul
For how I long to dance in the puddles once again.
